11th Annual Mickey Cafagna Memorial Golf Classic – RESCHEDULED TO AUGUST 30TH!
Poway Chamber of Commerce Invites the Local Community to Attend
Poway, CA (UPDATED: April 2nd, 2024)— The Poway Chamber of Commerce announces the 2024 11th Annual Mickey Cafagna Memorial Golf Classic, rescheduled for Friday, August 30th, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30am, at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, 17550 Bernardo Oaks Drive. Registration begins at 7am. Enjoy complimentary breakfast burritos and refresh yourself with available drinks. The putting contest (with purchase of Super Ticket) and driving range will also be open for your enjoyment prior to the 8:30am start time. The event features 18 holes of golf, an awards luncheon, games & drawing prizes, an online auction, and more. The public is cordially invited to attend this event; golfer registration is currently open. See pricing and register in advance at birdease.com/powaychamber.
The Mickey Cafagna Memorial Golf Classic was established to honor Mickey Cafagna, former Mayor of Poway. He was one of the most loved and respected elected officials in the City’s history, who distinguished himself by his thoughtful leadership and enthusiastic support of numerous nonprofit organizations. In keeping with Mickey’s charitable spirit, a portion of the event proceeds from this year will be donated to the Poway Veterans Organization, a non-profit beneficiary selected by majority vote of the Poway Chamber of Commerce membership.
The tournament is open to the public and players of all levels are welcome. Single golfer registration starts at $199.
