Scenthound Joins Scripps Ranch Neighborhood
Locally owned by a San Diego husband-and-wife team
Scenthound, a wellness-focused dog hygiene care service whose primary goal is to keep dogs clean, healthy and happy, will be opening in Winter its newest and second location in Scripps Ranch. Scenthound makes routine hygiene and preventive care accessible for all dogs in the Scripps Ranch/Poway neighborhood.
Scenthound Scripps Ranch is owned by husband-and-wife team Cara Sun and Percy Palomar, who also own and operate Scenthound Carmel Valley. Percy is a Mira Mesa local, and Cara is a UC San Diego graduate. For both of them, opening in Scripps Ranch means serving the community they call home and the dog parents who live here.
“Routine care is one of the simplest ways to keep a dog healthy, and it is often the first thing that slips when life gets busy,” said Cara Sun, co-owner of Scenthound Scripps Ranch. “Percy and I have deep roots in this part of San Diego. We wanted to bring a Scenter to Scripps Ranch that makes caring for a clean, healthy dog easy for every family in the neighborhood.”
Cara and Percy opened Scenthound Carmel Valley in 2023, and its launch was featured in the Del Mar Times. Scripps Ranch is their next step in making routine hygiene and preventive care part of everyday life for San Diego dogs.

To celebrate the grand opening, Scenthound Scripps Ranch will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 7, 2026 from 11am-1pm PT at 12030 Scripps Summit Dr. The event is open to the community, and dog parents are invited to bring their pups, meet the team, and tour our new Scenter.
