$20000 in Grants available from Poway Soroptimist
The SOROPTIMIST LIVE YOUR DREAM AWARDS program is the signature project of Soroptimist International of the Americas. Soroptimist International of Poway is one of nearly 1,300 clubs whose mission is to provide women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. This program provides cash grants to women, who are financial heads of household, and are working to better their lives through additional schooling and skills training. When women and girls are educated, they have opportunity, choice and power to make healthy decisions for themselves and their families. We focus on access to education because we believe it’s the most effective way toward empowerment.
