About Us
In these challenging times, The Community Food Connection (CFC) plays a vital role in Poway, providing food to those in need. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and individuals, we are able to offer nourishing items to families affected by the current economic strain.
We rescue most of our food from grocery stores, with the help of volunteers who pick up and deliver the items to the CFC. We also receive fresh produce donations through the Backyard Produce Project and supplement our efforts with food sourced from the San Diego Food Bank.
Currently, many parents in our community are struggling to feed their families, while some of our youth are lacking the nutritional support they need to thrive in school. Additionally, rising living costs are affecting older adults on fixed incomes, making it harder for them to meet basic needs. We fill empty stomachs and turn no one away.
We invite businesses and individuals to join us in feeding Poway through a monthly donation or a one-time gift. Your support—whether through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word—ensures that no one in OUR community goes hungry.
