About Us
Over the Influence Recovery is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting mothers in recovery from Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Through our structured program, we help women rebuild their lives, reunify with their children, and create a lasting sober community.
We believe recovery is not one-size-fits-all—it’s about empowering women, reducing stigma, practicing harm reduction, and keeping families together.
Opportunity
We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our Board of Directors. Ideal candidates will align with our mission, bring professional expertise, and help strengthen our impact in the community.
Open Board Positions
We are especially seeking individuals with experience in:

Lawyer / Legal Advisor – Guidance on compliance, nonprofit law, contracts, and risk management.

Accountant or Bookkeeper – Support financial oversight, budgets, and nonprofit accounting best practices.

Project Manager – Help with strategic planning, systems, and project execution.

Instructor, Professor, or Training Specialist – Assist in developing and scaling our training programs for peer support specialists.
Responsibilities

Commit to approximately 8–10 hours per month supporting board activities.

Attend monthly board meetings (virtual/in-person).

Act as an ambassador for our mission and expand community connections.

Support fundraising and donor engagement efforts.
