Our Tutoring Center is looking for a self-motivated/starter Center Coordinator who will be responsible for directly assisting with sales and administrative tasks required to run a learning center efficiently. This is a perfect role for a recent college graduate looking to start their career and gain experience in sales, marketing, analytics, business operations, and customer service. Online and in-center training will be provided.
The Center Coordinator takes ownership of the center's effectiveness and is empowered as a leader to take appropriate action when necessary. The Center Coordinator supports operating the day-to-day functions of a center and is part of the leadership in the center assuming responsibility for the center along with the Center Director.
Must have prior sales, customer service and office working experience, live in close proximities to Bonita/Chula Vista area, and be able to accommodate Monday - Friday afternoon to early evening working hours and Saturday mornings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assume responsibility of maintaining student information in our learning center management system, and coordinating with the lead instructor and center director to update student learning plans.
- Assist with planning and preparing the center for seasonal events such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc..
- Assist with sales, marketing, and customer outreach activities
- Successfully enroll new families and students into the Mathnasium program
- Positively interact and engage with parents, building rapport, establishing trust, answering any inquiries, and taking the time to get the know the person.
- Conduct customer and school outreach by contacting families via phone, email and text
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recent college graduate with a degree in math, sciences, communications, marketing or teaching
- 2+ Prior working experience in sales or customer service in an office setting
- Strong background in basic math, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication & organizational skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Excellent PC, MS Office skills and data entry skills
- Strong work ethic, punctual, detail-oriented and reliable
- Must be available to work 1PM-7PM Monday - Friday and Saturday 10-1PM
- Looking to stay and grow with the company, into an Assistant Center Director and Center Director roles in the future.
