My husband Peter and I are founders of Anvil of Hope, a 501c3 with a vision to break the cycle of poverty.  Low-income families, those who are facing homelessness, at-risk youth,  and those who are experiencing temporary hardships, are at the heart of our mission.

I am the Board President for The Community Food Connection in Poway.  I also am the Vice President of Sales for a major computer technology reseller located in Scottsdale, AZ.  The company is called GHA Technologies, Inc.  

Founder and Treasurer.

Grew up in NW Montana and then attended college at the University of Washington in Seattle on an NROTC scholarship; graduated with degree in Chemistry and commissioned Ensign, USN in 1968. After Submarine School , served on Diesel Submarines and Manned Deep Submersible 
Retired in July 1998 in San Diego and spent 17 years supporting the Navy as a Contractor. Life Member of the VFW, Vietnam Veterans of America, American Legion, FRA, Navy League, MOAA and the Navy Submarine League. Married 40 years to Christy (West) Schiltz, living in PQ for last 38 years. 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren…life is very good. 

I am the Director of Estate & Gift Planning for the American Cancer Society in San Diego and Imperial Counties. In my role I provide information about the many programs and services that we offer. I also assist our supporters with a multitude of financial matters, including estate planning, tax avoidance, gifting strategies, etc. and making referrals to advisors who can help them with their needs.
