On Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 10:30am-5:00pm San Diego Folk Heritage invites you to a day of celebration in honor of our old friend Sam Hinton - illustrator, writer, marine biologist, university instructor, TV personality, and dedicated folk musician. The free all ages event will take place at Templar?s Hall in Old Poway Park (14134 Midland Road - Poway, CA 92064). The festival will feature top notch music performers on the Gazebo stage, including homegrown acts, an international fiddle star, traditional and original songs, and more: Music Schedule: 11am: Mark Jackson Band Noon: Patty Hall and Gregory Martin Campbell 1pm: Mari Black 2pm: Poway Folk Circle Chorus 3pm: Levi Dean and the Americats 4pm: The Lacemakers Festival Schedule: 12-5pm: The Storytellers of San Diego in the Porter House 12-5pm: Open Mic on the Boxcar Stage - Bring an instrument and a song! 1pm: Old Time Jam at the Sweater Tree behind Templars Hall 1pm: Bluegrass Jam on the park lawn 1-3pm: Contra Dance in Templars Hall San Diego Folk Heritage is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the folk arts in Southern California.
