The College Zone (formerly National College Funding Strategies) has expanded our focus to reach out to underprivileged youth in San Diego. Through a new non-profit, the Disadvantaged Youth Alliance, we will extend our professional college planning services to create a brighter future for children in the foster care system.
Currently, fewer than 3% of foster youth graduate from college.
66% percent of foster youth will be homeless, go to jail or die within one year of “aging out” of the foster care system.
We feel strongly that education is the way to create better opportunities for these children and invite you to join us at our Open House to hear more about how this is possible.
This open house is not a fundraiser: we will not be asking for donations. However, thanks to the generosity of anonymous donors, DYA will receive a donation for every person in attendance. So please join us for an afternoon of hors d’oeuvres, spirits, desserts, and learn a little about what the Disadvantaged Youth Alliance is doing for foster kids in San Diego.

Hope to see you there!
