Event at The Gateway

In celebration of National Senior Adopt a Pet Month, we are excited to announce that The Gateway has  partnered with Furry Friends Animal Rescue to host a pet adoption event on November 16th from 10am to 2pm.

The Gateway, an Independent Senior Living Community, is a pet friendly facility and supports the idea that seniors with pets prolongs life. This guiding concept fits perfectly with Senior Adopt A Pet Month this November. This event will not only provide our seniors the chance to adopt a new life friend, but will give the community of Poway a chance to find a forever friend as well.

Furry Friends Pet Rescue in Poway, CA will be providing the animals up for adoption. Furry Friends Rescue provides animals ready for forever homes in all of San Diego county. While the majority of the animals are cats and dogs, Furry Friends has a variety of animals, even a burro! Animals provided are fixed and up to date on their shots and in excellent health. At this event, cats and dogs in varying ages and sizes will be available for adoption.

In order to qualify for a pet adoption, you must live in a pet friendly environment, have adequate space and time for the animal, and be able to adhere to the unique needs of each animal. An Adoption fee of $225 to $275 will be charged.
