| Dec 24 Christmas Eve Service |
On Christmas Eve, the nativity story is shared in song and in verse, a responsive telling of the story from scripture readings and congregation singing excerpts of hymns that support, and or complete the narrative. At the end, the light of Christ is passed from the Christ Candle to the elders, who pass the flame to the first in every pew, and the flame is passed from one parishioner to the next. The church is then in darkness as the congregation sings silent night. It's a very moving service!
