On Friday, August 7, 2015 at 7:30pm, San Diego Folk Heritage is honored to welcome Robin Henkel and Reverend Stickman, two of San Diego's finest bluesmen, to our concert series. The all ages event will take place at Templar's Hall in Old Poway Park (14134 Midland Rd. Poway, CA 92064). Admission is $15 for members and $18 standard - tickets are available at the door or online. About Robin Henkel: Robin is a mainstay of the San Diego blues and jazz scene, and a master of the resonator and slide guitar. He's shared the stage with an impressive roster of talent, including BB King, Dizzy Gillespie, Bonnie Raitt, Dr. John Jr. Wells, Jr. Walker, Roy Rogers, Arlo Guthrie, Hot Tuna, Steve Stills, Don McLean, and more. About Reverend Stickman: Since moving to San Diego Reverend Stickman has appeared on over 30 full-length albums by original artists ranging in genre from rock, blues and jazz to Americana, beach, comedy, reggae, and world. His live performances combine amazing acoustic guitar skills, soulful vocal work and onstage presence. The Reverend's award-winning original songs combine elements of Americana, pop/rock and world music in a sweet fusion with meaningful lyrics filled with images and stories from gleaned from real life. San Diego Folk Heritage is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the folk arts in Southern California.
